Yep, this is another “cheat” recipe – 5 minutes work, 10 minutes in the oven and DONE…
Even though I categorized this as a starter, you can definitely serve it as an entree with rice or Garlic mashed potatoes as a side.
Ingredients
500 gr. (~1 pound) Salmon fillet, cut into 2cm/1″ cubes
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ground ginger root (or 2 cubes frozen ginger, if you’re lazy like me)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp dark brown sugar
(optional) wooden skewers
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 220C/390F.
Mix all ingredients other than the salmon in a bowl.
Add the salmon to the marinade and mix well so that it is fully covered in sauce.
If you are using the wooden skewers, place 3 cubes on each skewer.
Place over a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Nice rice-serving tip: take a small cup or bowl that is straight-sided (same width from top to bottom). Fill with cooked rice and pack it in. Turn over the serving plate and tap gently until the rice comes out (see picture above).
