I originally made these cookies based on a Karin Goren recipe (“Sweet Secrets 2”, p. 158). They were very nice, but I am the type of person that likes flavor-punches. I don’t do “nice” in food – I love spices and strong flavors. So I changed things up a bit, played with ratios, replaced some ingredients and added a few others.
