It is quick and easy to make, but looks and tastes like you\u2019ve really put some time and work into it.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p>3 potatoes, peeled and sliced lengthwise to \u00bc inch slices<br \/>\n3 yams, peeled and sliced lengthwise to \u00bc inch slices<br \/>\n2 onions, finely chopped<br \/>\n3 cloves of garlic, crushed<br \/>\n30 gr. butter<br \/>\n500 ml. heavy cream or goats\u2019 milk<br \/>\nNutmeg, salt and allspice for seasoning<\/p>\n<h3>Preparation<\/h3>\n<p>Preheat your oven to 180C\/360F.<br \/>\nIn a baking-sheet covered rectangular tin place a layer of potatoes.<br \/>\nSeason with a sprinkle of salt, nutmeg and allspice.<br \/>\nAdd a layer of yam. Season as before.<br \/>\nContinue layering until you use up all of your prepared potatoes and yams.<br \/>\nIn a skillet, saut\u00e9 your onion and garlic in the butter.<br \/>\nAdd cream\/goats\u2019 milk and mix well.
