Other than a few minor changes, I kept it true to its origins. (\u00be cup) Demerara sugar<br \/>\n2 tsp. cinnamon<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp. almond extract<br \/>\n1 tbsp. lemon juice<br \/>\n50 gr. walnuts and\/or raisins<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. Brandy<\/p>\n<h3>Filling Preparation<\/h3>\n<p>Cook apples sugar and cinnamon over medium heat.<br \/>\nWhen somewhat softened add lemon, almond extract and nuts\/raisins.<br \/>\nRemove from heat and let cool.<\/p>\n<h3>Regular Crust Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p>250 gr. (2 cups) whole meal flour<br \/>\n105 gr. (\u00be cup) plain flour<br \/>\n\u00bd packet baking powder<br \/>\n200 gr. (1 cup) Demerara sugar<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n250 gr. margarine or butter<br \/>\n1 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n2 eggs<\/p>\n<h3>Gluten-Free Crust Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p>350 gr. (2\u00bd cups) Tami Gluten-free flour<br \/>\n45 gr. (\u00bd cup) ground flax seeds<br \/>\n\u00bd packet baking powder<br \/>\n200 gr. (\u00bd cup) ground flax seeds \u00bd packet baking powder 200 gr. (1 cup) Demerara sugar Pinch of salt 200 gr. margarine or butter 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 eggs Crust Preparation Mix all dry ingredients. Work in margarine\/butter. Whisk eggs with vanilla extract on high speed until fluffy and add to dry mixture. Knead until smooth. Putting it all together Oil pie tin. Line pie tin with 2\/3 of the dough (including sides). Fill crust with filling. Use remaining dough to create a criss-cross pattern. Bake at 190C\/375F for 25-30 minutes until golden-brown.
